Essential Makeup Tips
1. Use a primer before applying makeup.
2. Apply your foundation in thin layers.
3. Apply your eye shadow in thin, even layers.
4. Don't apply too much concealer under your eyes; instead, blend with an applicator brush or sponge.
5. Use lip balm before putting on lipstick and glosses to keep them from sliding around on your lips.
6. Apply bronzer evenly across your face, then blend it out with a sponge or brush.
7. Don't forget your eyebrows! They should be shaped and filled in evenly with an eyebrow pencil or brush that matches your natural hair color.
When you're looking to get your makeup done, there are a lot of things to consider. Your skin tone and hair color are just two of those factors. But what about your eye color?
If you want to be able to pull off any look, it's important that you know how to use your eyes as a tool for creating a fresh and modern look for yourself.
Wakeup and Makeup
Makeup is a tool that can help you feel confident and beautiful. It can also be a way to express your individuality, which is why we're sharing some tips on how to use makeup as an expression of self-expression.
First, try some new products! You might be surprised by what works for you, and you'll never know if you don't give it a shot!
Next, learn how to apply makeup so that it looks natural--not too much or too little. (This is especially important if you're going for something more dramatic or bold).
Finally, remember that makeup isn't just about looking good; it's about feeling good too! So take some time each day for yourself--and enjoy your new look!
Beauty is U
Beauty is all about knowing yourself, and being confident in who you are. It's not about trying to be someone else, or even looking like someone else. It's about being true to yourself and making sure that your own unique look represents who you are as an individual--not just a reflection of someone else's beauty standards.
If you're not sure what kind of makeup looks best on YOU, try out different looks until you find one that works for YOU! You'll find that once you get comfortable with it, it'll become easier and easier over time--and then you'll start seeing how much fun it is!
Lipstick Tips
You should wear lipstick every day. Not only does it make your lips look plump and juicy, but it also helps them stay hydrated.
You should never use petroleum jelly as a base for your lipstick--it can cause your lips to feel dry and peeling.
Use a lip liner to line your lips before applying lipstick. This will help keep your lipstick from feathering, and it helps the color last longer.
Don't wear gloss over lipstick, as this can cause bleeding and smudging. Instead, try applying a light coat of clear gloss over your favorite shade of lipstick to help keep it looking fresh all day long!
Apply your lipstick first, so it can dry before you apply any powder or foundation.
Make sure you are sitting up straight when applying your makeup--the more natural curve of your lips will show up better!
Mascara tips for beginners:
1. Use a light hand when applying mascara. Too much product will make your lashes clump together, which can be a big turn-off.
2. Don't skip the top and bottom lashes! Applying mascara on just the top lashes can look unnatural and flimsy, but if you apply it all over your eyelid (and don't forget about the bottom), it'll help give your eyes more definition and make them appear bigger.
3. Apply one coat of mascara to your lid first--then go back once with another coat of black or brown if you want extra volume (or stick with black if you don't). This way, once you've applied one coat, there are no visible lines where your lashes end or begin--it all looks seamless!
4. If you have sparse lashes, use a little mascara and then go over it with a separate coat of mascara for definition.
5. If you want to make your lashes longer, apply mascara first, then fill in the gaps with an extra coat or two of mascara after the first is applied.
6. To get length without having to use falsies or extensions, apply a thick coat of mascara first and then add more as needed for volume--but don't use too much at once!
7. Use a thin, clean eyeliner to help define your eyes, and apply a thin coat of mascara at the base of your lashes.
8. Use a comb to separate your lashes for a more natural look, or just let them all hang out!
9. If you have an Asian eye shape, try applying eyeliner in the outer corners of your eyes before applying mascara--this will give you a more defined look with less clumping!
